
Max is currently pursuing a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre at Lasalle College of the Arts accredited by Goldsmiths University of London and he was awarded with the BinJai Tree Bursary Award. His first exposure to musical theatre was at the age of 13, when he starred as a guest performer in Lasalle’s graduation showcase, Thoroughly Modern Millie and has since been casted for shows by companies like WildRice Entertainment, Wildfire Entertainment, Gateway Entertainment and many more.
Besides his professional career as a performer, Max also studied ballet under the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and successfully completed many Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) examinations, attaining a Teacher’s Certificate as well. He has also achieved awards at an elite level in many dance competitions throughout Singapore, the Asian region and Australia. Along with classical ballet, Max is highly competent in tap, modern jazz, lyrical, hip hop/street and contemporary genres.
Max recently taught and choreographed at Attitude Performing Arts Studio, Sissone Dance Arts and Stagelights by Lighthouse Dance, and has mentored soloists, duets and ensembles from the age of 8 and up, which clinched multiple awards (such as Double Platinum – the highest mark range) in various genres at competitions like the recent Get The Beat Competition and ComDance Competition by CSTD.
His other skills include both Figure skating and gymnastics on a National and international level.
